Tuka Tuka Weekend is open for registration

It is that time of the year again: Tuka Tuka Weekend is open for registration! It will be the 19th time already! Of course we have some surprises this year. From exotic Manchester we will be flying in Sidiki Dembélé to teach the far advanced Djembe group. He can’t wait! The dance classes will be even more energetic this year, cos we are adding a whole lot doundouns to the equation. This doundoundance (say a 100 times at top speed) workshop will be taught by Serge Badoué, who is warming up as we speak, psyched as he is about this. Furthermore, we are very happy to be able to re-welcome Oké Sène and Eef Bresser as our Djembe advanced and Djembe beginners and slightly advanced teachers. Paulus Kock will again prepare a top band for the big stage during his Afropop workshop and Joris Feuillatre will bring advanced ngoni players to greater heights.

We haven’t been able to maintain the same price this year. Our beloved government has seen fit to raise VAT on food and accommodation significantly, which results in seriously higher costs for us. We have been able to mitigate the price rise for you, but a bit extra couldn’t be avoided, unfortunately.
